Def jam Records has just issued a press release that Rhianna’s latest CD release “A Girl Like Me” has just been certified Platinum by the RIAA.
“It has been amazing to see Rihanna mature into such a confident performer and personality in such a short time. This album shows her growth as an artist and as a professional. A Girl Like Me hitting the platinum mark is a prophecy fulfilled,” stated Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter, President and CEO of Def Jam Recordings.

With her internation smash hit “SOS” has made it for a second week on top of US charts. The superstar singer also holds a top spot on the billboard hot 100 list, just above Daniel Powter and Sean Paul at bay.
T.I drops 1 spot from 5 to 6 with his single “What You Know” but for a rather impressive 5th week.
Chamillionaire’s “Ridin’” featuring Krayzie Bone is a non-mover at four with Fort Minor’s “Where’d You Go,” the chart’s greatest sales gainer, climbing seven places to five.
Nelly Furtado’s “Promiscuous” is the chart’s highest new entry at 64.
